METHUEN — The Methuen City Council approved a contract for police uniforms Monday for $142,896 with Neptune Uniforms & Equipment.

The council had postponed action on the contract twice due to confusion on the language of the contract, and because nobody from the Police Department was present to field questions at the last council meeting.
